Mr John Pombe Magufuli, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania visited the newly created URSUS factory

On 21st June 2017 in Kibaha, a place situated near the biggest city of Tanzania - Dar Es Salaam, Mr John Pombe Magufuli, the President of the United Republic of Tanzania visited the newly created URSUS factory. Moreover, Mr Charles Mwijage, the Minister of Industry of Tanzania, and Dr. Adelhelm Meru, the Vice-Minister of Industry of Tanzania, participated in this official visit. The Polish party was represented by Mr Grzegorz Kacprzyński, Chargé d'affaires of the republic of Poland. From Ursus the delegation was welcomed by Mrs Dr. Monika Kośko, the Vice-President of Ursus SA.

The President laid the foundation stone of the new URSUS plant the construction of which started few weeks ago. The modern factory will produce URSUS tractors within the range of 47 to 85 HP as well as harrows and disc ploughs.

The President also inspected the temporary plant located nearby, which is placed in the former TAMCo factory in Kibaha where upon the request of Tanzanian authorities the assembly of Ursus tractors and harrows has started in order to speed up the process of mechanizing the country. Firstly, Tanzanian specialists, under the supervision of our engineers from the factories in Lublin and Dobre Miasto, started the assembly of 47HP tractors which are already available for the farmers on the territory of the whole country.
