WAT designs, URSUS constructs
The company Ursus SA started cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Military University of Technology and Lublin University of Technology concerning development of innovative transmissions for tractors with the power range from 70 to 115 HP. Tractors manufactured on the basis of this transmissions will be rated within the most popular medium power range. The first meeting of the working group composed of representatives of the company and the university was held in the beginning of January in Lublin.
The company Ursus SA started cooperation with the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Military University of Technology and Lublin University of Technology concerning development of innovative transmissions for tractors with the power range from 70 to 115 HP. Tractors manufactured on the basis of this transmissions will be rated within the most popular medium power range. The first meeting of the working group composed of representatives of the company and the university was held in the beginning of January in Lublin.
During the meeting the idea of implementation of the project has been developed and directions of cooperation within common participation in search and development projects have been defined. The cooperation with the Military University of Technology and Lublin University of Technology is element of the global strategy of the company that focuses not only on production, but also on constant increase of spending on research and development, that constitute a very important part of our work in URSUS. Cooperation with universities, in our case with universities of technology, has very positive impact not only on development of our range of tractors, machines and devices, but also on quick development of the whole company - emphasizes Mr Jan Wielgus, director of the factory URSUS in Lublin, member of the working group.
Thanks to the agreements concluded with the Military University of Technology and Lublin University of Technology the company will be able much sooner than previously expected to expand the power range of tractors manufactured in the factory in Lublin and at the same tie become supplier of the most updated transmissions for other producers of tractors.
